We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding, award-winning Farm Shop & Butchery Team. Famous for all things local and championing Warwickshire and the neighbouring counties, our busy Farm Shop & Butchery is moving to the next level and we need a new Team member to help us grow!
We are looking for someone who loves food, has a passion for produce and excels in giving great customer service. Do you love local? Does a field to fork supply chain excite you? Do you know your Rollright from your Roquefort? Then this role could be perfect for you!
We are looking for a full time person, 5 days a week, including weekends (not all). If you think you could be a great candidate for this role, please do get in touch.
Responsibilities
Customer service:
To welcome customers into the Farm Shop and assist in finding products when requested.
To manage the till and check out customers shopping, taking payment.
To answer the phone and assist customers with any questions that they have.
To answer emails regarding customer orders for click and collect or deliveries.
To serve customers over the deli & cheese counters as required during your shift.
To serve and prepare takeaway drinks, cakes and hot counter treats.
To be friendly and helpful towards our customers, keeping in mind that you play a key role in the customers impression of the business.
Stock control:
To restock shelves as required.
To ensure all date codes of shop stock are within date and comply with food safety legislation.
To keep an eye on stock levels and flag up any low stocks to Product buyers.
To order any new stock as requested by Product buyers.
To enter any new products into the stock management system, ensuring all details are entered correctly.
To assist with stock counts when required.
Finance:
To assist with cashing up at the end of each shift, ensuring the tills balance at the end of each shift and raising and recording any non-conformances.
To complete finance paperwork to ensure we are accounting for all stock transfers and waste.
Hygiene & food safety:
To ensure work stations are kept to a good level of hygiene throughout the shift.
To follow best practice when handling any food products, especially allergens and ready-to-eat products.
To sweep floors at the end of every shift in the shop.
