Full-Time Sous Chef

We have an exciting opportunity in our busy kitchen for a full time Sous Chef! Do you have a passion for working with people who love fresh, locally sourced or home grown food? Are you a professionally trained chef with previous experience? Are you keen to be second in command in a kitchen and help develop a Team? Then this job could be perfect for you!

Location & hours

Hunningham, Leamington spa. 5 days a week including weekends with the usual hours being daytime only with some Friday nights during the summer.

Responsibilities

Create great food

To produce great tasting food for our customers, ensuring a high quality of food is continuously produced.
To ensure any customer complaints are managed appropriately during any service when you are working.

Menu management

To help manage a seasonal, great tasting, interesting menu throughout the year, ensuring that this menu hits our budget.
To work with the Head Chef to ensure that we are getting the most competitive prices from our suppliers.
To manage waste, minimising the value of stock thrown away whilst ensuring that food safety and quality is not compromised.
To work with the Head Chef to make sure that we have the optimum amount of stock on site, so that we can always meet customers orders.
To work with the Team to ensure our menus are compliant with food safety legislation.

Hygiene

To work with the Team to ensure that the kitchen is maintained to a high standard of hygiene at all times and that it always complies with food safety legislation.
To work with the Team to ensure compliance with EHO visits and we achieve a 5/5 rating at our next spot visit.
To lead by example with regards to hygiene standards set, ensuring the Team are always clear on what needs to be done and best practice is followed.

Team

You will need to supervise, motivate and manage the Kitchen Team at all levels.
Work closely with the Head Chef to keep morale high and make the kitchen a good place to work.
