Our Story

Hilltop Farm

Divider - Wiggle Blue

Rooted in the rolling Warwickshire countryside. We offer a warm countryside welcome whatever the season, with something for every member of the family to enjoy.

From tiny seeds grow mighty trees…! The Ellis family have farmed the land here for four generations, employing the highest standards of animal welfare and environmental care to produce the very best food.

We take huge pride in selling our produce direct to our customers through our award-winning farm shop & café, and in stocking the very finest locally-sourced food and drink alongside it – from rhubarb to rum!

Quality local food

Straight from the producer

It all started with a small crop of asparagus, picked fresh from the field and sold from the farm table one summer. Seeing the appetite for quality local food bought straight from the producer, we started selling our lamb and beef in our butchery. The demand continued to grow, and in 2003 we celebrated the opening of our farm shop & cafe built in a redundant barn here at Hilltop. From the very beginning the support from our customers has been amazing, so much so that we were able to extend in 2011, expanding our business again in the following years to develop a programme of festivals and events, and our very own glamping site too.

The highest quality

Local Produce

Our philosophy remains unchanged – it’s all about selling fresh, seasonal, local produce of the very highest quality, at the very fairest prices. Everything we sell, and every ingredient used in our kitchen, is at the top of its game. We like to think we stand for all things that are good in the world of food and farming – and that’s why we continue to grow.

We rear our livestock the traditional way

Sustainable farming

Here at Hilltop Farm, we rear our livestock the traditional way, acting as a key part of the ecosystem and helping to protect the natural environment that is so important to us. We champion sustainable farming in Warwickshire, grazing our cattle on ancient pastures alongside the River Leam. These pastures have been here for centuries – and that’s what makes them a really important part of the ecosystem.
